KAFA Vision

Our vision for the future was perhaps best described by Bojan Djordjic, who said:

“There should be a KAFA in every town.”

KAFA was first inspired and is still defined by the “right to play”. Absolutely everyone has the right to play.

We have a successful tradition of including everyone. From children who don’t normally participate in organised group activities to experienced, competitive club-level football players and children with social and learning difficulties.

KAFA brings back not only fun and individual well-being, but also a confident sense of local community where all backgrounds, all ages and both sexes interact with laughter and respect.

KAFA aims to be fully active in the local community. Apart from our regular weekly groups, festivals and KAFA Street, KAFA trainers are involved in a number of authority funded community and school projects.

KAFA trainers contribute to:

We are currently involved in the Idrottslyftet project and Talang över Gränser.

(English descriptions of these projects here)

KAFA activities are open to all within appropriate age groups. Boys and girls with very different abilities and aspirations have successfully played and developed together. Each youngster is able to have fun, make friends and become a better player!

KAFA is expanding and looking for more ways to reach children and young people. We are always interested in hearing from:

  • coaches and adults who share our ideas;
  • schools and youth groups who would like to talk about cooperation;
  • young people who have dropped out of football and would like to be involved again, and;
  • people with facilities, especially indoor, who might like to cooperate with KAFA.
